Joann and I make a visit to Florida, primarily to visit family. But as always, there was time for birding. Our first stop was Gatorland, a counterpart to the better know St Augustine alligator farm. It's incredibly hokey, with alligator wrestling, etc. But there is a marsh area where the gators are penned, that is also a rookery for waders -- egrets and herons, mostly.
